Statement:

"I see clay as an extension of myself, recording my touch and curiosity. Through it, I explore my identity as a Vietnamese American in dialogue with historical and contemporary traditions. Drawing from Vietnamese pottery, I merge technology and nature using machine-fabricated tools to render floral imagery. I carve and refine clay with 3D-printed ribs and stamps based on historic motifs, allowing atmospheric kilns to activate raw surfaces and soften glazes beyond my control. While utilitarian function grounds my work, the vessel becomes a space to question purpose and invite a conversation between beauty, identity, and use."
