Starting as an idea between friends in 2019, Mud Ties has grown into a family of makers from the United States and Canada - many of whom didn't know each other before the collective's formation. Each member stems from a different stage in their career, providing a spectrum of professional skills and creative viewpoints. The connections made through the construction of Mud Ties weave together a clay family that works to support one another as well as the community at large.

Mud Ties is a ceramic artist collective working to promote their work as well as the work of emerging artists through sales and community events. Through creativity and collaboration, Mud Ties is committed to making a space for emerging artists and connecting them to the greater clay community regardless of gender expression, race or other marginalized identity. We aim to build the confidence and self-sufficiency of emerging artists, empowering and providing them with the tools to represent themselves and their art within the clay community.
